Private, in-home newborn care
When something doesn't feel quite right with your baby, it can be hard to know what they need or where to turn.
And when you're already navigating feeding, sleep, recovery, and life with a newborn, packing everyone up for another appointment isn't always easy.
That's why I bring care to you.
In the comfort of your own home, I take the time to evaluate your baby, listen to your concerns, explain what I'm seeing, and provide gentle, age-appropriate chiropractic care when appropriate.
No waiting rooms. No rushing.
Just thoughtful care for your baby — and support for you along the way.

Every baby is different. My first priority is understanding what's going on with your little one and determining whether chiropractic care is appropriate.
Families often reach out with concerns about:
Head Turning Preference
Baby consistently prefers looking toward one side.
Torticollis & Positioning
Concerns about baby's neck movement, positioning, or symmetry.
Plagiocephaly & brachycephaly
Concerns about flattening of the head.
Body Tension
Baby appears tight, stiff, uncomfortable, or has difficulty settling into certain positions.
Feeding Mechanics
Concerns about positioning, movement, or tension that may be affecting feeding.
Tongue & Lip Ties
Assessment of oral structures and function, with referral to the appropriate provider when needed.
Digestive Concerns
Parents may notice discomfort, gas, difficulty stooling, or changes around digestion.
Post-Birth Assessment
A gentle musculoskeletal assessment following baby's transition into the world.
You don't have to figure that out on your own. Tell me a little about what's going on, and we can determine the best next step for your baby.
Dr. Maye Abdella is a chiropractor, mom of four, and graduate of Logan University with specialized training in pediatric, prenatal, and postpartum care, including Webster Technique.
After years of caring for families in private practice, Dr. Maye created her in-home newborn service to offer parents something more personal—expert, gentle care for their baby without the stress of leaving home during those early weeks.
Her approach is simple: care for the baby while supporting the parents along the way. She believes parents should understand what’s going on with their little one, feel confident asking questions, and never feel pressured into unnecessary care.
Outside of practice, Dr. Maye loves spending time with her husband, four daughters, and their dogs, staying active, traveling, and giving back to her community.
I created this experience because I wanted newborn care to feel different.
More time. More attention. More education. And less stress for your family.

"Dr. Maye was incredibly informative, gentle, and took her time explaining every step before doing anything with our son, which immediately put me at ease. The care she provided brought him noticeable relief, and we finally started seeing longer stretches of sleep at night. Dr. Maye truly seems made for this work."

"The care that was provided for my infant when she couldn’t turn her head was amazing. Dr. Maye helped her not only get full range of motion, but helped her with her gag reflex and constipation. I never realized how amazing a chiropractor could be for an infant."

"Received a high recommendation from a friend for my infant to receive needed care, and was so satisfied. Prompt follow up, and guidance to schedule and wonderful results due to treatment received."
I believe access to support during the newborn season shouldn't always come down to someone's circumstances.
For every 10 babies I have the privilege of caring for, I set aside a complimentary visit for a family who may not otherwise have access to my services.
You can nominate a family you love — or nominate yourself.
How is newborn chiropractic different from adult chiropractic?
Newborn care is adapted specifically to a baby's age, size, development, and individual presentation. I use gentle, age-appropriate techniques and explain what I'm doing throughout the visit. Sometimes parents say that it looks like a targeted baby massage.
How many visits will my baby need?
Every baby is different. Your experience includes three visits so I have the opportunity to evaluate, reassess, and monitor your baby's progress. If I believe additional care may be appropriate, we'll discuss that together. My goal is never unnecessary ongoing care.
What if chiropractic isn't appropriate for my baby?
That's an important part of my job, too. If something is outside my scope or I believe your baby should be evaluated by another healthcare professional, I'll recommend the appropriate next step.
Do you replace my baby's pediatrician?
No. Chiropractic care does not replace pediatric medical care. I encourage families to maintain regular pediatric care and will recommend medical evaluation when appropriate.
Where do visits take place?
Right in your home. I'll bring what I need so you can focus on your baby.
What areas do you travel to?
Long Island, NY
What if my baby needs another visit after the three included visits?
Additional visits can be scheduled when appropriate for $150 per visit.
You don't need to know exactly what's going on before reaching out.
Tell me a little about your baby, what you've been noticing, and what you're hoping to get support with. I'll personally review your inquiry and be in touch.
Helping babies. Supporting parents. 🤍
